"The Last Hope" is an action, adventure and exploration game in FPS + TPS (in cinematics). You play a grave robber in Egypt trying to steal the Temple of Anubis. Your character will find some mysterious and magical objects which will help her steal but also fight the horrible creatures lurking inside. Maybe your journey is not as peaceful as predicted..

This was a class project for our 3rd and last year of Video Game school. It is a technical demo inspired by AA/AAA games. Our teachers also asked us to try to produce a game that could be presented to E3 as a challenge. We worked very hard on it and had 4 weeks to make 2 different environments, 1 main character, 2/3 types of ennemies with different difficulties and a mini-boss. We also had to have a menu, credits, options, inventory, collectibles, etc...

Personally, I worked on the main character, the grave robber. As it was a FPS game but with TPS view in cinematics, I put great care on her arms and hands but did her entire body. She's pretty high in polys (I think up to 120k polys with her personal objects and mostly her hair) but since her arms were detachable for FPS view, it didn't cost much. I created this character from begining to end : from research, to High poly model on Zbrush, to retopo/low poly model on Maya (with higher polycount on arms), to painting on Substance. I also helped the animation team with her arms' animations.

I added some screenshots from our environment team for fun.
And also : We developed this game on UE4 but transfered it to UE5 to test it when it got out !
